Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 In that case, the most rigid mount you can make will help with the rolling shutter artifacts. (And help crisp things up a little). Quote
CraigHew Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 If it has gopro-type mounts, buy yourself a roll bar mount off fleabay (about £5) makes all the difference....! Quote

D7PNY Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Shopping list, . better mount, . external mic. My mic was about £20 off amazon and has its own battery pack as my older go pro doesn't power external mic properly. I have it through the dash and sat just beside my carbs which as you can hear allows plenty induction noise I have the official go pro roll bar mount which wasn't overly expensive. Dave Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Made a new mount and tried it out today. I couldn't really tell when it was filming or not and was quite surprised when it ran out of power at around dinner time. Found out why when I got home and down loaded the videos. I've got two videos that last 32 minutes and some over 10, so I've probably got around 2 hours filming time. The mount isn't strong enough, and vibrates too much, mk2 needed. The first video starts off clear, but about 20 mins in starts to get cloudy with condensation, but clears at about the same time the battery runs out. I'll keep on trying. 1 Quote

Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 I've had a go at a new mount for the camera, This was my first attempt, but it wasn't rigid enough with it being mounted on the Perspex wind deflector. Unfortunately I seem to have deleted al the videos I took using this. Second attempt, mounting on some angle then bolted to the 'screen pillar. Quote
