Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 A bit more history about BR. The family business was a chain of grocers/butchers all over the North West. Back in the 60s they had their own Shopfitting dept in an old church on Eccles New Rd in Salford, i worked there for a while. Of course I never met Brian at work, he was always away testing and racing, a sort of family playboy....lol I've seen him race many times. Quote

jeff oakley Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 What a different era to now. A couple of tyres blow out and F1 drivers want it to stop. Guy's like him took risk as part of the job and his recollection is so matter of fact of his injuries and accidents. If it wasn't for the nutters on bikes I would say they will never be seen again.
