McDuff
As a newcomer to the Westfield community, I wondered if there was a "best colour", (and least desirable one as well), as there is for some other cars? I have seen a superb SE in black, with black interior which seems to my mind, to show off the Seven design really well. Are metallic colours less attractive compared to ordinary paint, as is the case with MG Midgets/MGBs ,according to some? What do others think? stephenh
Red is best! I don't think metalic colour finishes are good on a very small car. And I wonder if a metalic finish is practical in a gelcoat finish on fibreglass? Remember that Westfields are not normally painted, they have a polished gelcoat finish. Welly Jen
If it is metallic aluminium coloured that is very very bad, 'cause that means it is upside down. Jen
Kingster
Has to be red But of course it's all personal - maybe avoid "marmite" colours like Kawasaki Green (huge 'saki fan and love it on bikes, but not everyone's taste). IMO they look good in Red (of course), Yellow, Orange and the 'electric' Blue - and White is pretty popular. Purple? No thanks! Funny though, I hate yellow or orange tin-tops, but not yellow or orange Westies.
Kyle
I prefer them in bright colours so I ordered Orange. To me a Westie is a fun car and very much a toy so it's as good an excuse as any to choose a vibrant colour. Like Kingster, I don't like bright coloured tin-tops like orange ST's but I think a kit can pull it off.
Captain Colonial
My favourite colour is red, unsurprisingly. The best colour is one of two things. The first one is the colour that's best for resale, and as tastes change, that's difficult to predict. The second one is the colour that makes you smile every single time you open the garage door, which is IMHO far more important than anything else. A better question is which colours are the worst from a resale and a safety viewpoint. As much as I love black, I do worry about visibility to other brain dead and blind drivers who simply don't see Westfields in bright colours, let alone black. Some of the highly dramatic colours are great for safety but can reduce the pool of potential buyers at resale time.
CraigHew
+1 for red. There's nothing worse than a black Ferrari or a yellow Ducati, which also both just look best in red.
TAFKARM
Depends how fast you want to go. Its a well known fact in the community that Yellow ones are faster.
Onliest Smeg David
Any Bright colour great imo. My preference is the chrome yellow, which does appear to be very popular. Generally I'm not so keen on dark or metal but there'll always be exceptions. Next doors old narrow xflow was metal blue with orange chassis, rop etc and was a stunning looking car. And Marto's looks good in Silver.
Dommo
If I was building another, I'd give green/black combo strong consideration. Or on the flip side, some kind of dark grey colour but I'd be worried about not being seen.

Nick Algar - Competition Secretary
Whilst I love the Chrome Yellow look there is one big downside. It attracts the flies etc still remember queing up at Curborough fighting the little b*******s off
