DRIVE TO WHITBY FOR FISH AND CHIPS AND ONTO THE MOORS 23.08.15

Hello Team.

 

On Sunday 23rd August I am planning a run out and I am happy to travel over to York to meet anyone at The Highwayman Café on the A64.

 

Lots of room to park and you can get a breakfast if you wish.

 

The route will be roughly as follows. 

 

Highwayman Café to meet and then onto Pickering. from here travel through pretty Troutsdale before heading to Scarborough for a drive round the motorcycle race track. Through town for a pose before a drive up the seafront and a stop for toilets and a cuppa tea. 

 

Head north to Whitby and happy to stop for fish and chips in Whitby if we can get parked as its quite busy at times. Then North to Sandsend. we can park here and stop for toilets and just admire the beach.

 

From here its over the moors to Grosmont and then onto Rosedale to go up Rosedale Chimney. More than happy to have a drive round the moors or go to other places if anyone fancies it.

 

Happy to take a disposable BBQ and a load of sausages if anyone fancies sitting by the river at Glaisdale for a BBQ

Details of our trip to Flamborough here all in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.  We charge children (or their parents) £1 to have their photo taken in a Westie of their choice.

Had a great day out today.

 

Left at 7.55am and arrived back home at 6.40pm with a red raw face from the sun.

 

Met with Rob and also Roger and Judy in their brand spanking new car.

 

Today was the cars first run out and the weather has been glorious all day.
