Stripes

When the Westy gets wrapped the week after next, she's going to have a stripe detail running front to back. I can't decide whether to go with a doubles stripe or a wider single one with a thin stripe either side. If anyone fancies posting a pic of their stripes, with dimensions if possible, I would be very appreciative. Kevin

Thanks, looks smart. Is that a standard size sticky number plate? That's something else I need to sort, as Westy hasn't had a front plate since I bought her!

No, it's about 70% scaled. Strictly wink, wink, nudge, nudge at the MOT test, but no problem (yet) with the long arm

Where are you getting it done Kevin, or are you doing it yourself?

I've gone well beyond my own abilities doing what I've done so far!

Joyce Designs in Chelmsford are doing it. 3M approved and I've seen some of there work, so no concerns giving the Westy to them.

The only thing that can possibly compromise the finish is the condition of the GRP, as she is, after all, a 28 year old kit.

I bought mine from a "Classic and Kit Car Dealer".They provided me with a brand spanking new MOT and it had no front plate at all!

That's how I've been driving it for three months and it has made me nervouse a couple of times.....

Indeed, but it looked a bit old and quaint in the cream and blue, so I'm going the other way colour and stripe wise, to make it more "mine".

I'm sure it won't be to everyone's taste and some will even think I'm mad!

But hey ho, each to his own.

I like the stripe design that incorporates the nose cone,  Martins is an excellent example.

And the purpose is to make the car more visible -. have DRLs as well

That's interesting, because I mocked up a double stripe like this about two hours ago and I think that's the way I'm heading!
