Quinten
I always drive my Westie with my dipped beams on, but my new LED indicators are now a bit lost underneath them. I was looking to install some side facing indicators, when at the same time I came across some very nice looking DRL/indicators with so called 'switchback' function. This means that the DRLs go out temporarily when the indicators are on. When the indicators are off again, the DRLs come on again. Conveniently, the dimensions of them are a nice fit for my cycle wings, so I ordered them and waited a couple of weeks for them to arrive from the US. First I needed to create some brackets to hold them in place Then mark the cut out on the cycle wing and attack it with the Dremel And finally after lots of sanding, filing, and my new best friend, Gorilla glue, it looks like this For the indicators visible from either side, we simply drill a hole Still need to connect all the wiring but the below video of the manufacturer reveals what it will look like

msisleman
I started out with a similar idea: https://dl.dropbox.com/sc/8if0s9em3pmxerf/AADWYZOP5SYLz2k5QDZsLivUa%22%5D But then decided I prefered a small round one on the front as well. Passed iva like this: https://dl.dropbox.com/sc/czbz8a21h9oo8y7/AADve-vvO8ASr9lWqtu-VLXZa%22%5D But your indicator/DRL's look brilliant! Interested to know where you got them from? Craig. Quinten
Can't see your pictures (404 - not found), so can't compare, but I got mine here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121589394479 (DRLs) and here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281400088070 (indicators). Kit Car Electronics
Why not install photobucket app? It just works...
Quinten
Really struggling to embed, but here's the links: Can't embed those either (but they do work this time). For some reason, these images have no .jpg extension (like the ones on your other thread), so the forum software does not like them. If you regularly going to post pictures, then it may be worth looking at photobucket as suggested above....

Just ensure images have correct extension and are in public folder. Will post a full "walk through" if you want? And nice job Q!

Lyonspride
I've considered various LED related projects like this, but i've now got a workbench full of failed cheap LED units and i'm loathed to cut holes in the Westfield for something that could fail and leave me with holes I can't fill. Looks good though!

Quinten
Got everything back together and whilst it was all working as designed with the engine off, as soon as I started the engine, the DRLs turned off Unfortunately couldn't fix it straight away as it was time to fire up the BBQ so pictures/videos of the final version will have to wait another day
