Is the view new content button broke?

The reason I ask is, thats what I have always used for years and now it's not working for me.

It's working fine for me.

 

Typically when it stops working it's usually either a cookie/cache problem with your internet browser - try it from another browser if you have one. Clearing the browsers cache and if that doesn't work, clearing cookies, candy do the trick - you might need to log out and back in again.

 

But first, check all the settings down the left hand side of the Boardroom pages, 9 times out of 10, when the view new content button appears to be misbehaving, it's cause one of the extra options has accidentally been selected. (You can set it to only show new threads that you've contributed to and stuff like that).

Thanks Dave, I first noticed it last week while I was away and using my !phone, when I got home today I tried with my main pc and my laptop, using Internet explorer and google chrome and neither of them work.

You'd got "New since my last visit" selected instead of "Content I have not read" in that column of settings at the left of the page on the new content results pages.

 

I've done it myself in the past, when I've caught one of the other settings with a finger, while browsing from the iPad, it's easily done without noticing, till you start getting weird results.

Excellent, for about the last month I have been moaning that the View New Content button is not working like it used to. The same has happened to me. Fixed in 5 seconds, thank you.

Mmmm well that is how I always have mine set and usually get pages of threads I have not read but now it seems to have about 10 threads and that is it...............confused dot com

have you been using the mobile verision recently by any chance? I've found myself that its quite easily to accidently click the option to "mark all threads as read".

I've gone backstage to check your settings and everything there is in order.

Just checked my phone Mark and when I select that it asks if I want to do it and I have pressed cancel . Is there a way to check if it has been selected already? Better check the Ipad as well while I think about it

As far as I can see on all three devices the settings are the same  .............By content type= Forums, By time period = Content I have not read and nothing selected in the third "other" field! Mmmmm strange I noticed this yesterday or the day before. Now I have only one thread showing in the " view new content"

No, I can only check what your current settings are, sadly there isn't a log of key actions that I'm aware of which would allow me to view if you may or may not have clicked something in the past.
