Agreed. I don't think it's ever affected me due to always towing with a petrol manual cars, I presume its normally the auto gearboxes that require the extra cooling??

Sorry to say it was one of my least favourite cars.

Just when the salesman thinks you've finished battering him don't forget to make sure it's got a real spare and not a can of gloop !

Hasn;'t been there for a couple of months now, he's either given up or had the engine changed.     The problem did only affect TSI petrol engines of which  all the Audi range were affected.  I know one lady that fills up her A1 every week at a local petrol station then goes next door to Rayleigh Audi to have at least a 1/2litre of oil filled by  salesman that sold her the car, she never pays for it :)

If you want Gap insurance, buy it from ALA or Frank Pickles etc not from the Dealer.

If you need a towbar fitted, I can recommend a company too - they come to you.  Had one fitted to a new sportage for 350 when the dealer was was quoting 750!  No problems with warranty - the dealer paid half the price :d

I used carwow when I brought my new Mercedes o saved 50% on the deposit and £50 per month on the payments and that was for a higher spec'ed car than my local dealer quoted, but they did match the deal in the end
