Ok there a chance Wayne may be coming........as my passenger

So he will call me when he gets home from work, and if he's coming we will make our own way to the Bay Horse, cos' we wont make 7.10 at Gisburn.

But if Wayne's not coming I'll be at Gisburn. The best thing is, don't wait for me, If I'm there ok, if not see you the pub

I left Sunny Manchester in sunshine of course, 10 miles from Skipton the roads were damp, 5 miles from Skipton the roads were soaking and so were we  It was great to see such a good turnout. 1 Yorkshireman and 9 Lancastrians     And so to the journey home, we set off in rain, passed through showers of varying intensity, and as I pulled onto my drive the flippin' heavens opened

So to sum, it up, if the weather forecast had been correct we wouldn't have gone   but we did and had some fun in great company, and it was a good shakedown for 'our' forthcoming European trip in just over 2 weeks

Couldn't agree more - really enjoyed the meeting and chats with mates from Lancs and Mancs. The last 5 miles of the journey to Skipton was not good.  Above 45 mph I stay reasonably dry but some plonker thought 35mph was a more reasonable speed at the front of the queue!  Journey home in the twilight was great too but I find some oncoming headlights very glarey in such a low car.  There had been no rain in Harrogate at all!
