Finally we have the results for Shelsley Walsh so please see the following link for the scores.

If anybody can confirm whether Time Pennington crossed the line, that would be great

Hi John,

No, this was a 1.6e event as 3 out of 5 failed the percentage. Not actually sure if it was wet or not but the times were slow so hence the different Targets ......... ;)

Just looked at the target times and think John is correct? But even so the times are not bad.

LOL, I still stand by my calcs but obviously I would stand to be corrected if they are wrong ;) ;)

It rained heavily over night and the track was still a bit damp for practice but dry after lunch.  Ash nearly broke 30 seconds on his second timed run.

I think times are slow as for a number of us it was our first time at Shelsley

Perhaps an enhancement to the rules should be to exclude novice times from the calculation to determine if wet?

It's happening where more Novices than Experts entered because Novice target times are theoretical % of expert times rather than previous records that have actually achieved!

I just checked and 2 novices and 1 expert were slower than the target by 103% so it's not entirely down to slow novices.

Obviously it's down to the Committee to decide !!

These are not wet times. We were just slow.

As an example

40 Ash Mason Westfield SEi 1340S 30.52 30.35 1st

This was on zzrs and pretty close to Barry's record time.

Is the rule 110% not 103?

Hi Tigger and Phil

Thanks for putting the Shelsley Results in place

I know it doesn't make any difference but a number of other Westfield cars were entered in the MAC classes as the

drivers are running in those events also.

For me it was a great day, a Personal Best and a mention in the S W Newsletter for my class win!

Now looking forward to Hethel!

Thanks

Hi David,

If that was your first time at Shelsley then your times not that slow.

Well done Graham on your class win and PB

The rule is that 51% or more of the drivers must be more that 110% of target time for it to be regarded as Wet

I have checked the calculations and Tiggs is spot on with the new Target times etc.
