BBC 1 just ran (before the One show) a trailer for top gear saying it was coming soon to BBC 2....

The trailer had Clarkson, Hammond and May larking around....!

time will tell

It's the remaining two episodes of pre-filmed footage, wrapped up as a special to close out the Clarkson era of the program.

Fairs fair, they actually had Jezza in the other week to record some of the voice over segments.

What does it mean for the future, only time will tell.

Blatter attempting a comeback as Fifa president makes you wonder if Clarkson could do a Top Gear comeback.

BBC only ran top gear because of it's popularity, the lack of political correctness was something the BBC didn't like and they'll be glad to see it gone. After all, they get paid whether we watch their programs or not, so where's the incentive to actually give people what they want to see?

It was quite interesting listening to the quotes of some of the Beeb seniors; there was just a hint of give it twelve months to blow over, then quietly get back to normal about them. Though I'm not sure if Clarkson actually wants to!

I think the biggest issue will arise from the hoard of TG fans (of which there are lots) who have quietly calmed down and got used to the idea that Top Gear (as was) is now dead.  After the beeb screen the final two episodes everyone will be whipped up to hysteria pitch again to re-instate the troublesome-trio....

I'm all for change where needed but TG with Clarkson, Hammond and May always managed to bring a smile to my face.
