RobEvans Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 For sale is my 1989 Westfield. This car was the subject of a ground up nut-and-bolt restoration in 2012 and has only done a few hundred miles since. She is fitted with a 1,600 cc Ford crossflow motor running on twin Weber 40s. The restoration work was carried out by professional mechanics (this is not an amateur home-build!) and included a full reconditioning of the engine (re-bore, new pistons, reground crank, new mains and new oil and water pumps etc), total overhaul of brakes and suspension (GasMatic shocks), stainless steel exhaust system, complete refit and re-upholstery of the cockpit and a repaint into 1960s British Racing Green with the classic Team Lotus style yellow stripe. It is also equipped with Schroth 4 point harnesses. The car was set up on a rolling road and runs on 205 Yokohamas on new Revolution rims. The original weather gear comes with the car, as do the original front mudguards to allow conversion back to narrower tyres if desired. Also included in the sale are a custom made boot cover and full tonneau. There are minor stone abrasions to the rear wings which are down to the usual wear and tear. Otherwise the condition is excellent. She runs and pulls beautifully and the handling has the usual precise and solid feel. The reason for this very reluctant sale is simply that the space is needed for other things. Priced at £10,995 or nearest offer Please contact on 0777 9099941 for more details Pictures can be viewed here: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C621064

Looks like the one Marto worked on? James, Yes your right, this is the pre-lit we restored a few years back, in fact it's this little car that first got me interested in Westfields. Rob joined us on a track day at Donnington in this car when the rebuild was complete and very kindly let me take it out for a few laps, I loved it and the rest as they say is history. For anyone seriously interested in buying this car I have lots and lots of photos of the restoration, though I think Rob also has them
