Thanks guys. I'm new to forums so it'll take me a while to get used to this as means of advice, help or general chit chat.

Helło Willy, welcome to the club, and thanks for joining!

Rab is the Area Organiser for Scotland and arranges lots of runs and events through the year; definitely sign up to his mailing list - his runs take in some scenery and routes that have the rest of us utterly green with envy!

If you can, try and get along to the regular meets as well, they're great tyre kicking opportunities, and a chance to find out more about your car and get tips and advice from the others. (Handy for finding out where the Westfield friendly specialists are too!)

And don't forget to take full advantage of the Boardroom! Whether Westfield related or not, it seems we can answer most questions! We have a fantastic archive of information relating to our cars, there are also past editions of the Club Magazine that you can download.

And lastly, if you just fancy a run out and there's not a regular event organised for that day, don't be afraid to pop a post up on the Boardroom, a few days in advance, asking if anyone else fancies joining you. I did it just last week, and ended up with seven other Westfields, and also had the pleasure of meeting three club members I hadn't met before!

Welcome, another old school Ford engine to keep the numbers up!

Thankfully this isn't like most forums, so I don't need to give my usual forum advice speech about having a thick skin and ignoring the trolls. Plus these days there are good number of buyers versus builders, so everyone is pretty non-judgemental and welcoming, "the management" do a good job of keeping it a nice place to spend those rainy/cold days.

Hi Willy

You have a PM reply. Thanks for your details and I'll stick you on my mailing list. If you have no objections, I'll pass on your details to a couple of other heilanders so you can get to know them better. :)

You may have already spotted this but we have our annual Applecross trip Friday 19th June - Sunday 21st June, which you are more than welcome to join us on. Just go to: http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/110664-applecross-2015-clan-mcwesty-5th-highland-gathering/ and be prepared to read through the 7 pages of banter we've already accumulated  and sign up to come along.

Don't worry about accommodation as there should be room in one of the camping huts .. I'm sure I'll have room but you'll need to let me know :t-up:Speak with the other heilanders (I'll PM you their details later) as to their arrangements for meeting up with the rest of us for Applecross.

Welcome Willy.

Looking forward to meeting you on one of the runs (hopefully better than the last one when we drove through the fallout from a burst sewer!).

Always good fun and great banter though.

A fallout from a burst sewer . I will let you know about the apple cross meet. That road is one of the best out there! I look forward to meeting fellow Westfield scots owners I'm sure there is loads of us.
