housebeautician Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Took the car to Procomp tuesday as it was not going round corners very well. Ivan and Matt gave it the works and it has transformed the car. I'm well pleased Thanks gents Tony Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 you mean you haven't got a saggy bottom any more ? seriously though has it transformed it? Quote
Lyonspride Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Been wanting to get my car up to these guys for shocks+geo, but from what other members were saying, they're booked solid That and depending how long it takes, not sure what i'd tell the missus Quote
Andy (Sycho) Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I'm also trying to find the time to take mine in I've all ready fitted the shocks they supplied so just need geo. I must bite the bullet & get it booked in. Quote
John K Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I keep getting lost, who is the outfit near Brum. Is it Protech or Procomp? Or is it Procomp who fit Protech shocks, or the other way round. I was on the phone to the Brumy boys and they seemed a decent lot. Well for Brummies anyway... 1 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Protech make dampers, and sell spring/damper kits direct. Procomp are a Protech dealer, they also do all elements of race car preparation, including geo setups. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 The Protechs that Procomp sell are Procomps own spec made by Protech, not just Protechs Great guys at Procomp. They have done me proud for 15+ years of Westfield ownership and I keep going back so it says it all Quote

They have done me proud for 15+ years of Westfield ownership and I keep going back so it says it all Cool, so Procomp are the Brummie Boys right? And when I spoke they said the shocks and springs would be to the specs I wanted, so that assumes bespoke kit (from Protech) Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Yes Procomp in Birmingham As above they buy from Protech but they have them valved for the weight of this type of car and also have them paired up Genuinly the best grand I ever spent on my car (new shocks/springs and front anti-roll bar) Quote
John K Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Cool, cos that is definitely on my list for this year... And I intend to go to Procomp. They struck me as good blokes and this thread only reinforced that. Quote
housebeautician Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Cleggy, an amazing difference and i can't wait for Blyton Martin, Yes mate new shocks and springs all round John, Procomp fit Protech shocks AFTER they revalve them and use a different oil Ive had it set up !!!! at two other places before and neither had done it right. ivan and matt were very thorough and really have changed the handling on the car, all i have to do is get the confidence back in it Seriously i wouldn't hesitate using them again And clark, bottom not quite so saggy Oh and it does not want to break my spine every time i go over a matchstick 1 Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Yep - I know. the point I was trying to put across is that Protechs bought from Procomp are different to those available elsewhere Quote
BLiNK Motorsport Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Yep - I know. the point I was trying to put across is that Protechs bought from Procomp are different to those available elsewhere I presume you have the damper dyno plots to back this statement up John? Quote
