Chris Hooper
It s a really big day for me today I collected my chassis this afternoon. It was panelled as requested also I had the brake and fuel lines fitted. I also got enough bit to get it rolling although I have asked for the body to arrive later as I have no space. Soooooo................plenty to do then.

Kingster
Panels fitted? But what will you do with the compressor and rivet gun? What - you mean you haven't got one!

My wiring loom is all labelled and I looking to fit it this weekend!
Kyle
Awesome. It's all very exciting when you collect your chassis and sit it in your garage, I was grinning like a kid a Christmas.

Stu Faulkner
Hi Chris. What engine and bodywork are you going for?
BenD
i think chris is building a mazda sdv but im not sure if its 1.6 or 1.
Chris Hooper
Full fat 1.8 still happily sat in its mx5 at the moment. The body is standard SEi I fancied the tilting bonnet and nose combo but have gone for simplicity for a first build. I haven't had the body work yet as I have nowhere to store it safely I think I will go for white.
Chris Hooper
Well I thought I'd have play today. What fun I had. I had foolishly imagined the bit is the bags might be related to each other so I opened the bag with the clutch aeroquip in it and then had to open all the other bags to get the rest of the bits I needed. Question 1 how do you get the threaded bar to the bottom set of holes ? Is the middle one ok ? Edit :- figured it out pass the rod through the brake pedal mounting Question 2 I have 2 sizes of clevis pin the bigger doesn't fit through the pedal the smaller fits but the hole for the split pin is to small.... This is just the clutch pedal

BenD
i thought they were both the same if im honest chris but i will go check on my car and get back to you
BenD
both of my clevis pins are the same size i think they are really awkward to measure tho once on the car. you could just put the clevis pin in the vice and run a small drill down the split pin hole as the split pin only serves as a mechanism to stop the clevis pin falling out of the pedal housing
