TAFKARM Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Any of you chaps in Essex got an OBD II reader I can borrow / can you read a fault code for me? Quote
Lyonspride Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Worth mentioning, you can get bluetooth OBD2 ELM327 adaptors for next to nothing (£5), then an app for your phone (like "torque") to read off fault codes and a whole lot more besides. Quote
TAFKARM Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 Cant seem to find one thats iphone compatible :| Quote
dombanks Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 what car is it? i got one from BMcables for my z4, it came with all the software to read codes/program the car if you need and the cable and works a treat for ~£30 Quote
Lyonspride Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Cant seem to find one thats iphone compatible :| Ah, you probably need the WiFi version. Apple restrict bluetooth pairing, essentially the purpose seems to be to prevent users connecting non-Apple devices. Quote
