Any of you chaps in Essex got an OBD II reader I can borrow / can you read a fault code for me?

Worth mentioning, you can get bluetooth OBD2 ELM327 adaptors for next to nothing (£5), then an app for your phone (like "torque") to read off fault codes and a whole lot more besides.

what car is it? i got one from BMcables for my z4, it came with all the software to read codes/program the car if you need and the cable and works a treat for ~£30

Ah, you probably need the WiFi version.

 

Apple restrict bluetooth pairing, essentially the purpose seems to be to prevent users connecting non-Apple devices.
