FW Build - Wiring Loom - Electrical Stage 1

About to start mounting my wiring loom to the chassis. Should it be inside split conduit? The build manual does not mention it but I'm sure that I have seen pictures with it used.

Thanks,

Simon.

The choice is yours. Some put it all along the harness others only use it where the harness may rub or be exposed to flying road debris. e.g. rear light wiring etc. I've done the latter. I've used quite a lot on the rear end round the diff cage of different thicknesses.

Yeah, the IVA manual only says something along the lines of cables and hoses should be protected from chaffing.

I've chosen to cover probably 90-95% of mine, just because it worked out looking neater, and because it offered extra protection from the elements in areas like the tunnel and around the rear diff cage and engine bay.

But the choice is yours!

Check out the offerings from polevolt they do a great range of tubing and joiners that all look very neat when done

Agreed Pete. Looks much better as well as keeping it safe and neat.

If you use the split convoluted type, it's easy enough to open a section if you should need to.
