Some put it all along the harness others only use it where the harness may rub or be exposed to flying road debris. e.g. rear light wiring etc. I've done the latter. I've used quite a lot on the rear end round the diff cage of different thicknesses. 1 Quote

I've chosen to cover probably 90-95% of mine, just because it worked out looking neater, and because it offered extra protection from the elements in areas like the tunnel and around the rear diff cage and engine bay.
