Here are the published goals for the weekend - This is the serious thread Please

Primary Goals

  1. Run the track day on the Friday for any WSCC member.
  2. Run the WSCC Speed Series Event on the Saturday & Sunday

Secondary Goals

  1. Create an event that appeals to all sides of the club both SS and the general membership.
  2. Have 120 (same as last year) cars competing on both days is a safe and controlled manner.
  3. Have 45 cars participating  on the track day
  4. Have this event being recognized as a must repeat event for everyone.
  5. Organise a Parade lap

Extra goals

  1. Create a video/photos for the website for marketing the club & speed series
  2. Would also like all area flags to do a bit of a westfield avenue

Suggestions

Possibility of a BBQ one the Friday night and turn it into a WSCC social, drivers on Saturday &  Sunday will need to be free of the affects of alcohol

I would like to run the sprint/track school this would have to be on the Friday and suggest that they have there own track time 15/20 minutes for complete novices before the main track day. what would people like?

Would like to get the club merchandise on show and the club banners up at the event and upsell us.

Great stuff John.

Just to say I'd be happy to run the road trip again on Saturday morning (Sunny Scunny, nearly to the Humber bridge, turn south almost to Market Raisen, turn west onto Top Road, nearly to Gainsborough and back north to Blyton).  It may turn some tourers into sprinters when they see what's going off on the track.

I did a show and shine too when we got back which was inevitably won by Julie Hall.  Any previous winners obviously disqualified

Gluten Free organised supper at the pub on Saturday night which was great.  He needs to do it again  :suspect:  :suspect: please  and to make sure it's just not the Speed Series competitors that attend.

Novices (and I am one to be honest!) would really benefit from a few laps with an instructor giving lines/breaking points etc. Doing this on a session only for complete novices is a great idea.

In my opinion, this is what Westfields were made to do.

I was contemplating chipping in with something and your post ties in nicely Mike... After what you mentioned (I agree with your points), I'd be happy to put myself forward as an instructor for the track day if anyone else would find it useful. It can be a little tricky in an open car but there are ways round it :)
