matjax Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Due to personal circumstances and with a heavy heart I must now sell my westfield sei narrow project. Westfield Sei Narrow chassis, mounts/engine cradle for cbr1000rr, roll bar with diagonal brace, pedal set, custom cover, rear tub, scuttle, bonnet, nose, front wings, old ali panneling for reuse or templates. (body has cutouts for xflow) Its road registered 1990 (Q) correctly as a westfield sei with matching chassis number and in my name. it has a msa logbook from 2014 when in class 3f. Still has MOT till Nov 15. So, I bought this as a running car last November with full intention of entering the speed series in class A. However, I just couldnt get along with the car engine and some areas needed work. So I decided to strip and rebuild from scratch the way I wanted. A bit of history It was owned by Martin Vickery from early 2000's to 2009 ish and used in sprints hillclimbs in south west. Was then owned by Richard Abraham and used in nscc till 2013. Then owned by dj racing and used in longton district motor club for one season. It was run as class 2a for majority, then class 3f for 2014. During that time it was fitted with xflow, which has now been sold. I know some of times that it acheived under Richards ownership and far as I know still holds 2a record at thoresby. Richard won novice and came 8th overall in 2010, 2nd 2011, and 1st 2012. With DJ it won 2nd division and came 6th overall for 2014. why the history lesson? Because it has a slight frontal area twist in chassis. No cracks or repairs though. I spoke to Richard Abraham who informed me it was like this when he bought it in 2010. (Im sure he wont mind if you wish to contact him) Said it seemed fine but he was going to get it re-jigged anyway. However, he took it for set up at procomp and it all seemed really good as is. So he left it and went on to record some very good results also winning nscc championship in 2012. I though id better leave as is for time being. Ive decided to split so anyone interested in chassis and body will get first option of other bits full set of good straight wishbones with new set of nylon bushes and s/s inserts, gaz shocks with 270lb springs front and 140lb springs rear, rose jointed quick rack with rs2000 alloy extensions and alloy brackets, westfield alloy diff case, english trans x lsd with 4.1 cwp, 3.54 cwp, alloy rear uprights with hubs for sierra rear caliper, driveshafts, front cortina uprights with alloy hubs, raceleda discs, rose joined top. Light set, windscreen with carbon surround and fillet, wiper motor and wipers, mega range aeroscreen, 11" suede steering wheel, prop etc etc..... Also have ab supplied and checked 2011 cbr engine, approx 5k, all running gear loom ecu tb's, with billet sump, htc clutch plate, water pump blank, external water pump, limp home kit, ab airbox mod, sprocket adapter. ab paddle shift and cable. May twist my arm.... Chassis has had bad footwell mods removed and rebuilt. with steel surrounds welded in. Top mounted pedal box removed in favour of floor mounted twin with bias. pedal brackets are welded in and new pedals with bushes included. Engine mounts and lightweight cradle for cbr1000rr. High gearchange bracket and cable stops welded in. Quickly brushed over with anti rust paint (not hammerite) Price I really dont know, sure it will be fine as is, but just for instance, take into consideration possibilty of straightening few front chassis rails or re-jigging few chassis rail or even possible replace few chassis rails, also changing front engine mounts (for all bec haters) and make me an offer. It really has to go.. Chassis pic showing cover, rollbar, how it looked last nov
