John K
Can't help with the duct. But you have to stop leaving a hot iron on your bonnet...

Captain Colonial
T-Cut, enlarge the hole to remove the black part and add some mesh?
litcoat
What about one of those bonnet scoops off a pickup like the Mitsubishi L200, they're not too tall in section to obscure vision and cover a decent surface area and could be painted to match your car. jeff oakley
Depends what you are trying to do. Could you get a slightly different shaped duct. Or get your bonnet to a good repair shop and have it glassed over. Perhaps then to save on a paint job have it carbon wrapped. Chairman's method would work as well

litcoat
I'm getting my bonnet done this next week, gel coat was crazing, so I've rubbed it down and filled it ready for the carbon wrap.I think there may be too much black so I'm going to experiment with different stripes, either a single wide one down the scoop or a few thinner one's, has anyone else tried this? Cheers Mark

Lyonspride
made a start... quoted £150 for carbon wrapped bonnet !! going to glass over and paint i think ! I would say that of all the bodywork parts you could wrap on a Westfield, the bonnet would be comparatively easy DIY. I've be contemplating doing the cycle wings because one is a slightly off colour, next winter I might give it a go, I think if I use 3m 1080 and get it heated just right, it'll probably work.... If it fails, then i'll just buy some new black cycle wings from one of the many suppliers out there. Of course the bonnet is self heating, no need for heat guns, just do it after a blat
