Hi Ian,

Thanks for the update, where did you get a crate engine for £750?

Raceline do a service engine for £650 + VAT, Dunnell full engine £850 + VAT.

Did you go down the lightweight fly wheel option, if you are happy to PM me with your email I will send you my parts list which with your knowledge you might be able to save me a few pounds.

Mating to a type 9, have been told I can use original Zetec flywheel and clutch assembly with just a new spigot bearing and release bearing.

Afaik you need an Escort 1.8 flywheel and a MK1 Mondeo clutch plate and cover, plus a release bearing off a Capri (part CT133).

As for the sump, don't think Scholar do them anymore.
