Bought, rather quickly(!) from another member, before I'd worked out where it was going to go!

I never did fit it, though it's had a bit of light use previously.

One litre capacity, it's got the breather/filter top - the bit that looks like a red plastic cap, so no separate filter required. Two inlet barbs for push on hose - they srew in though, so can easily be swapped for -AN type screw fittings. Sight gauge on the other side for checking level and a drain bung on the bottom.

A Mocal original will set you back upwards of £110. Yours for £50 (inc postage to WSCC members).

Never quite sure how these connect up. I have two feeds into a plastic container at the moment.

This looks like just the two connections - like what I have.

That's quite common, one from the block, one from the head. Though engines do differ, some run only from the head, with the block connecting to the head, then the head connecting to the tank.

The tank is flexible enough to do both, the spigots both unscrew, so if only one is required, you could fit a blanking plug, or use both, whatever suits.

Just been asked about dimensions, so will share...

The total height, including cap and drain plug is 150mm, the height of the body only is 115mm

The width including mounting brackets is 172mm, while the (maximum) width of the tank body is a gnats under 135mm. Front to back including mounting brackets is 90mm.

Dave, This is just what I've been looking. I'll have this please if it's not already gone.

Pm me payment details and I'll give you my address.

Thanks.

Sorry Tony, looks like it's sold.

Sold to me! :)

But those wanting a nice 1l Aluminium Oil Catch tank, can purchase the one it's replacing (purely due to different dimensions (cylindrical - taller and narrower, roughly 220mm tall including breather / 100mm diameter))

Anyone wanting further details PM me your email.

Nipped over to see David's (OnliestSeg's) car at BLiNK, (he was the first to get in touch), unfortunately it didn't fit where he wanted it to go, so I brought the tank back with me.

Now back up for sale!

Muchly thanks for checking Dave

You can mount very neatly on the scuttle using Westfield coolant tank brackets for those that are interested.  :)
