CraigHew Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Is is possible to upload short videos to the forum? Can't find anywhere how to do it, although I've seen a few around....?
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Yes, the Boardroom just doesn't have the storage space to cope with high volumes of video. The bandwidth consumed might be an issue too. So most tend to use YouTube to host and then link. Fortunately the Boardroom does a sort of automatic embedding thing when it sees the sharing code you copy from your YouTube clip. Vimeo is also very good for video hosting, though I can't remember if I've tried linking to here.
wackydo Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Photobucket does both stills and video, its what i use: Still: Video: http://vid1117.photobucket.com/albums/k598/griggtony/Hagawara%20Tamworth%202015/M2U00460_zps8lkjw190.mp4 http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/griggtony/media/Hagawara%20Tamworth%202015/M2U00475_zpsjjuf273f.mp4.html It doesn't seem to want to embed the video into the forum post like you tube though.
Stuart Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Tinypic does too and you don't have to register. I use them for pics but never tried the video service.
CraigHew Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 The Youtube option seems to work really well. I just don't like the idea of filling youtube with short bursts of video intended for a very limited market, but hey-ho. thanks for the advice
