Stu Faulkner
The rears are Sierra 4x4 but the fronts I'm not sure. They look like AP two piston ones but after that I'm not sure. Someone will be along soon no doubt with the answer.

Indeed they do have AP on them, but not ones I have seen before. Can you make any of the numbers out clearly? If you put them up I'll have a search and see if I can find any info. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Ignoring the Mazda SDV, four pot conversions etc, the WF factory has used either Sierra or Golf rear callipers and for front callipers, either Sierra (on the Sierra based SDV), Ford M16 - ie Cortina, Capri, rear drive Escort etc, or, and it's slightly left field, I know, they have in recent years when M16's getting to be an issue, they've used Land Rover Discovery (series 1 or 2) rears. Which is what I'd think those could are Do bear in mind though, that like many kit cars, individual owners will occasionally re-engineer a solution "just because.." So there's always a chance it's something never used before or since, that just happened to be sitting on someone's shelf!
DanDud
Remove the pads and trace around them (accurately) or better still take the pads to any decent motorsport supplier and they should be able to work out what pads you need, they might have to scan your trace to a pad manufacturer to get them made. You certainly don't have to work out what the caliper is off to order pads

You certainly don't have to work out what the caliper is off to order pads The emphasis on "Motorsport supplier", trying to get parts from your local motor factor can be a nightmare, they all seem to go by make/model/age or vehicle reg and then look blankly when you mention it's for a kit car. Even if you have the full specification of the part you require, for example a fan belt Xmm long by Xmm wide, their parts database just doesn't work that way and you'll be left with no practical way to actually find what you want. Stevec33
Ive found an awnser, there the discovery rears, i sent westfield a photo and they confirmed this they were very helpful so good on them. Unfortunatley it would seem that there are no upgraded pads available for them according to westfield, unless anyone knows different? I guess the next step would be to upgrade the callipers, however after having a westy previously fitted with hi spec 4 pots with ap master cylinder i found they hardly improved the braking at all so im loathed to spend that kind of money again
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
That sounds strangely familiar... they've used Land Rover Discovery (series 1 or 2) rears. Which is what I'd think those could are You might be better trying to get one of the pad companies to use your backplates and reline them with a decent material. While there used to be one or two "performance options, they were designed around being for use on the back of a Disco.
jeff oakley
Go to the site below and look these up using the size feature on the front http://www.apecbraking.co.uk/catalogue/size This should help you get sorted.
tisme
Try EBC Brakes - or one of the main Land Rover parts specialist such as Paddocks - they definitely make "Green Stuff" ones for the Discovery rears (and I think the other compounds as well) http://www.paddockspares.com/land-rover-performance-parts/braking/ebc-green-stuff-pads.html
