iain m Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 It's truly amazing how companies like E Bay, Pay Pal, Ikea, Budget airline and many more are so financially successful considering how disorganised they are and how appallingly they treat their customers that are constantly scrambling back for even more aggravation. I almost sold 3 items on ebay some years ago before I ditched them, the first maintained " not received" the second even though stated 3 times " collect only " caused problems and the third a motorbike sale lived in Glasgow and maintained he thought West Sussex was next to West Lothian?? I think perhaps our low expectations are driven by the huge growth of " Humiliation " TV programmes no longer only available on Saturday evenings. Quote
dombanks Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 annoying as these are 99% of ebay transactions go without problem. the guy who i sent the whole ST170 induction to was in russia and couldnt have been easier. he was patient and accepted the postage costs etc all without hiccup. on the flip side many sellers have been great too. allowing me to cancel orders/change things/deal with the wrong items send etc. Quote
Boombang Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 If it's an item that they need to collect then do a paypal refund of the money now and politely explain to them that you will only accept cash on collection. If its an item that needs to be posted then always send by a tracked and signed for service. Unfortunately insisting on cash on collection is against eBay seller regs - PayPal must always e an option for buyers Quote
