Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 How much will Pete be willing to spend.....
mitch46 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I was bidding on the set he had on last week as I've been after some for a while, I bid £300, and I think they went for £310, I'm just going to press some ally ones up at work now instead, I would like a proper set tho 1
TAFKARM Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I'm desperate for some new side panels, but the carbon ones are too rich for me, GRP would do fine if anyone made them!
Captain Colonial Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Sold for £407.67! The drinks are on Mick I think! Come on then, fess up - who bought them? I know who bought the first set for £310.01 already... 1
Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 skint £407.67...................... Pete Really!!!!!
Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 and they are worth every penny Congratulations Pete
mhc Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 First, let me thank the mystery bidder. Second, just to put the price achieved by the two sets of side panels recently sold and under comment on this thread in perspective. A pair of carbon cycle wings made in the usual way ( wet lay up, top skin carbon the rest grp) contain approximately less than 1/3 the carbon content of the side panels and yet sell for mostly £150 + and some are over the £200 mark.. So are the cycle wings expensive or are the side panels too cheap! Regards Mick 1
TAFKARM Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Out of interest mick, how much time does it take you to make each piece?
