Quinten Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Having seen many recommendations for Top Gaiters on ebay for replacing the (ugly) gaitors, what have others done with the actual handle? Quote
Castlecroft Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I ditched the old handbrake In favour for a stainless steel trigger hand brake and hence don't need a gaiter Looks a million times better... www.triggerhandbrakes.com 1 Quote
Quinten Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Very nice indeed... something to ask for Christmas maybe Quote
Monitorlizard Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Certainly looks the Mutt`s Nutt`s! Quote
tisme Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I have a nice piece of aluminium tube over mine - looks smart and as it was an offcut, cost next to nothing Quote
Nic Chase (NICO) - Shropshire & Mid-Wales AO Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I used Topgaitors on eBay. Nice quality and well priced. They come with contrasting coloured stitching. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FITS-WESTFIELD-GEAR-HANDBRAKE-GAITER-GENUINE-LEATHER-NEW-/231159263274?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35d22a702a Quote

Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hello. There are lots of handle "sleeves" on ebay also. Quote
Quinten Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Hello. There are lots of handle "sleeves" on ebay also. Yes, but they vary from 'tacky' to 'wacky', so a personal recommendation would go a long way. I've got a terrible track record of buying stuff that doesn't fit, so having at least someone else to blame would be nice Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hi Quinten. that was also my issue. I have one of the black leather gaiters as detailed in the post above around the handbrake and it looks smart when installed. I still have the original handle showing and it certainly does not look out of place. Quote
Andy (Sycho) Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I used a richbrook handle fro demon tweets on my old car Like this. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/320890567953?_trks Andy Quote
