The Aluminium wrap around fuel pump mounting brackets, are people just making these or buying them from somewhere?

I got mine from the factory with a big batch of other parts, however, I made an identical one for the fuel pump - it's just a strip of rolled and drilled aluminium.

Don't forget to allow for a rubber or neoprene sleeve on the fuel pump for isolation.

On the last car, I use a pair of Mikalor clamps, these were riveted to a flat piece of aluminium, which was then riveted to the chassis.

Was it 2mm Dave do you know?

I made mine from ~ 1.6mm sheet, the factory one was almost the same, though may have been 1.5mm!

Is there no flex once mounted i.e. possible vibration of the pump?

The thickness of the isolating neoprene sleeves supplied for the Bosch 044 pumps, is about 10mm! It's quite a stiff neoprene mix, but still has more movement than the bracket!

This is a factory one
