6carjon Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 This is a picture of me , taken on a bad hair day. I don't like it and it makes me angry and vindictive in my everyday job. Do you think its a good likeness ? Quote

1313 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I'm not on duty but I'll pull you over anyway..... But I did undertake take you at 70mph in a 60mph zone. We were only out for a quite blast on a Sunday morning weren't we Matt Quote
Captain Colonial Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Why did he pull you over, and what was the outcome? Was it an official police car or not? Quote
Deanspoors Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I was under the assumption that off duty police officers cannot pull you over, but on the other hand if they see a crime being committed they can arrest. So I'm not sure whether they are allowed to approach a stationary vehicle and apprehend you then? Quote

JOCKER Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 I think Jeff Oakley is on the money. To cut a long story short, the off duty officer overtook me when I was at the national speed limit (so he was speeding and he had his family in the car). He then then slowed down so I overtook him (in 3rd gear so very noisy) he then undertook me flashing his badge. When he was doing this he was in a filter lane going left. I was going straight, so he cut across the traffic behind me to follow me. At the traffic lights he got out of his car (leaving his family in the car) and gave me some verbal. No idea why he reacted this way it was a quiet sunday morning. If anything I should have been the one jumping out of my car giving him the tongue lashing. Naturally we found it all very amusing, and put it down to jeff's comment! Quote
