Lightweight car engine wanted

Hi there,

 

I bought myself a 1.6 mx5 westy.. so a friend of mine is after a lightweight "touring" westy (he just got a bec and a pinto)!

 

So, looking for a "modern" 1.6/1.8 - starting engine with electronic ignitions since we like to megasquirt it - good specs, preferably weather gear.

 

Also, due to recent tax law change there in Italy, a car before 1985 will be also very interesting.

 

We are in Italy but have bought cars in Uk from a long time, so no problem for bank transfers, shipping etc, will pick up car from your door.
