TAFKARM Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Or thereabouts? I've got some vouchers from christmas..thinking an extra tool box unless anyone knows any better bargains? http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage-equipment/tool-chests-tool-boxes/halfords-8-drawer-tool-centre Quote
tolf Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I saw some ratchet spanners in their sale recently. Set containing 8 mm to 16 mm and all in between for £50 Quote
TAFKARM Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Very handy, but I've got two sets already... Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Have you inspected that tool cabinet in the Flesh? A bit cheap n flimsy I thought. Quote
TAFKARM Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 I've already got one similar that does the job tbh, but can always use more storage Quote
CraigHew Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I'd wait until they have one of their special event sales then get more bang for your buck. I've bought their professional toolboxes, socket sets and ratchet spanners during such promotions. Usually the stuff has been less than half price. I thought the professional toolboxes range were good quality and a bargain during one of their events. Lifetime guarantee on the professional socket sets too. I agree it's not snap-on (or similar) quality but fine for home use. I'm guessing being a billionaire (and a stud ) you're already well tooled up so you may wish to browse some of their more exotic offerings...or buy the wife some air-fresheners... Quote
Boombang Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Take a trade card with you, as long as they allow that with vouchers, and prices of their own tools drop even below 99% of special offers. Professional cabs and chests are ok but nothing like as good as the black Industrial range, I would seriously recommend them. Quote
Boombang Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I'd offer to post mine over to you but it's somewhere in the storage container - well worth using to get Halfords own brand stuff, even oil. Quote
D7PNY Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 That's exactly what I bought with some vouchers I got a couple of years back and its served me well.Drawer runners not the best but as a value option I cant fault it. Dave Quote
Young Pretender Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 They do a range of thermal wear for cycling which might be useful for cold weather blats? 1 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 And cycling gloves too... Actually bought a pair of them a few years back while out for a blat, after loosing my decent ones, thought they'd get me home at least. They weren't at all bad, kept using them for years! Quote
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Actually bought a pair of them a few years back while out for a blat, after loosing my decent ones, thought they'd get me home at least. They weren't at all bad, kept using them for years! I've recently bought a pair of Seal Skinz winter cycling gloves from Halfords with Christmas voucher, very good for winter blatting! Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Yeah, the Seal Skinz stuff always seems to come highly recommended. I've got a pair of their's I bought from DT, when I was after a pair of winter weight, fully water proof goves for the Westfield. Cracking gloves! Quote
