Dommo Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Have just put my partner's car up for sale after my 'fleet refresh' late last year kind of made her car redundant. It's a great little car, ideal for general commuting or as a 1st car. Pistonheads link here or I've copied the advert below. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/ford/fiesta/ford-fiesta-zetec-climate/3272814 Specs EssentialsMileage: 107,032 Year: 2007 Doors: 3 Body type: Hatchback Transmission type: Manual Fuel type: Petrol Colour: Red DetailsEngine layout: Front Engined Aspiration: Normally Aspirated Engine size (Litres): 1.4 Engine configuration: 4 cylinder Cylinder layout: Inline Cylinders: 4 Engine power (BHP): 79 Torque (lbs/ft): 92 Top speed (MPH): 103 Acceleration: 0 to 62 in 13.2 seconds Fuel consumption (MPG): 45.6 Driven wheels: Front Wheel Drive Previous owners: 2 2007 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec Climate finished in a fantastic red with 16" alloys and consistently returning the book figures of 44-46mpg. This has been owned and cherished by my partner since it was 2 years old and will be missed. Unfortunately, a deal on a new car was just too good to turn down. The car benefits from factory privacy glass which offsets well against the red bodywork. Cosmetically the car is in fantastic condition with no obvious dents or scratches. It suffers only from a few stonechips and a small scuff to the lower edge of the front bumper which hasn't broken through the paint to the plastic beneath. The alloys are in good condition with just small amounts of minor kerbing. They don't appear to be corroded in any way. The tyres are Goodyear EfficientGrip with good tread in each corner. It is well specced, coming with heated windscreen, auto lights, auto wipers, air conditioning and electrically folding mirrors. It also has the standard Ford CD player with steering wheel controls.Mechanically the car has been totally reliable, asking for nothing but routine servicing and consumables such as brake pads. Whilst the car has been serviced regularly I am unable to piece together all of the receipts. I'll be contacting the garage to see if I can get replacements but in the meantime this history should be considered partial. Key points should be the MOT is until July, service is due in September and cambelt was done 3 years ago. Aside from the service history the only other downside I can see is that the drivers side mirror 'clicks' when folding in. Still functions fine, just clicks for whatever reason. This will make a fantastic car for someone and we'll be sad to see it go. Higher resolution photos available on request and I'm happy to take some specific ones if needs be. I can be easily contactable by phone or email. Pistonheads price is £1950, but for you lovely WSCC people we can start haggling at £1,700... Sold and off to a good home
SootySport Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 WHAT! Only £50 squid of for us? Nice little Fiesta though, you've been polishing that haven't you?
Dommo Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Ha! Due to the slightly odd and completely illogical way I refreshed the fleet, I get to keep the proceeds of this sale so think of it as buying this is giving back to the community... it'll surely end up in the Westfield! Only a quick go with a bit of Autoglym. I don't know what it is with this car but it just seems to stay shiny. Totally against what I expected a red ford to be like... my images of red fords are planted firmly in the 80s.
SootySport Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Paints are better these days, the worst was the Citroens in the '80 s, used to go pink or orange if it saw the sun for more than 10mins. £1900 could go towards a nice holiday.
Dommo Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 You sounds like my missus there Should also include - happy to pay a commission to both the member and WSCC if they find a buyer. If it sells that's one less car blocking the Westfield in the garage.
Dommo Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Price drop - simply because the temporary insurance runs out soon so would rather accept a lower price than putting a full 12 month policy on it then cancelling later. Also going 'oop north' this weekend so can take this car if anyone wants to view. Will be near Gainsborough.
