CrisisWolf Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Thought it was time to get the local Airfield team back together! Anyone got a preference on when (or dates they can't do?) its £109 and 100dB(A) Hullavington Airfield on 17/04/2015 Hullavington Airfield on 08/05/2015 Hullavington Airfield on 19/06/2015 Hullavington Airfield on 10/07/2015 Hullavington Airfield on 18/09/2015 Hullavington Airfield on 02/10/2015 https://orders.motorsport-events.com/EventList.aspx Remember that at Hullavington MSE have created an area off the track where you can get the feel of your car and practice your car control skills - this is not for performing donuts and drifting, more to be able to get a feel for the limit of your car in a totally relaxed environment at no extra charge. They have one on the 6th March as well but I may be using that to get my car re-sound tested (post winter mods) prior to booking anything. No Abingdon dates on their site yet... Quote
KugaWestie Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I might do one, but Abingdon is higher up my list TBH. Would like to see if there is much difference with an Aero V Screen at Abingdon Quote
CrisisWolf Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 I didnt notice a difference at Hullavington but then Ive only done it with aero. Quote
wackydo Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I'm hoping to do some of these, and Combe as well. 1 Quote
Dommo Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 One of the earlier ones will probably be my first track day of the year. Hullavington is preferred because it's nice and close if any of the winter upgrades decide not to play ball. Or just plain fall off I guess. Quote
Dommo Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Careful Mike, that's close to my birthday and it always rains on my birthday. We'd be in danger of breaking our run of dry track days! Quote
Steve M Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Definitely interested in Hullavington, only 38 miles from me Will the organisers carry out a noise check on my car even if I'm not booked in for the day ? Also, do you go out on track in groups? Novice / advanced? Quote
Dommo Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 MSE will happily test your car for you. They're open pit lanes after the first 'sighter' sessions. Quote
Mooch Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Rain....Hah!!!! You forget my patent rain dance, Dom! Worked for Abingdon.... Quote
CrisisWolf Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Provisional for 17th April then? Sounds like a plan to me! Quote
Terzo204 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'll be up for this. Just down the road from me. Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Would love to but 100db I've no chance Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I'll almost certainly be doing one or two, but I have a credit note for an Abingdon day that I had to abandon last season. Luckily MSE were able to sell the place so I didn't lose the money. Looking forward to getting out there though... Quote
the stoat Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Going to aim for the 17th, but is very much provisional as got some major engine work to do first. Must start stripping teh engine soon. Quote
