XTR2Turbo
It's that time of the year when I populate my diary with car events for next year. Its filling up nicely and I have in the usual stuff, goodwood, speed series, stoneleigh, Le Mans, Prescott, London to Brighton etc etc that I do most years. I would like to do a few new things this year. Any suggestions for events / petrol head activities to add - ideally something special - even if it involves a holiday and travel. Ideally outside of UK summer period as plenty to do here then. Also keen on a car based trip around my Birthday end of March rather than going to a beach again. At the moment I have as possibles for next year: http://www.rolls-royce-museum.at/home Hershey Car meet in the US US Speed Week Mille Miglia Monaco Grand Prix Ford Museum Detroit / Motor show (I have a Model T so fancy visiting ) Alaska Road trip Any other suggestions? What have you guys done? David

craigjruss
It is! Came across it when I was out there staying with my sister! The three goons from topgear did it a few years ago!

IanG1
Race Retro at Stoneleigh in February, always a good day out and the group B rally cars being used in anger on the rally stage is worth the entrance fee alone.

Northwarks
I was in LA earlier in the month, had planned to visit the Peterson car museum but was closed for renovation, was gutted - We did the space shuttle instead which to use an overused phrase - awesome. Still an excuse to go again http://www.petersen.org

No problem Steve I go most years and always enjoy it, some cool stuff to look at and a good way to get a bit of a motorsport fix during the cold winter months. Nick Algar - Competition Secretary
Did Monaco about 5 years ago and it was enjoyable, but the racing was only part of the experience. I stayed 400 yds from the Casino and the sights / atmosphere in the evening were just as interesting . But having done it I wouldn't go back as far more enjoyable places to see a GP. XTR2Turbo
Nick You are probably right. I booked Spa F1 a few years ago and was disappointed by the facilities and organisation. Might be the same for Monaco but feel like I want to try. David
