Excellent, it's really worth trying to get a build thread going in Tech Talk, if you can, (with plenty of pics, just ask if you need help getting started with uploading them).

its not just that everyone loves reading them, though we do! But it's also a great way of boosting your enthusiasm when you see it all coming together in words and pictures on the Boardroom. Even more usefully though, specially if you've not done it before, (and why pictures are so important), it's like having a bunch of mates looking over your shoulder and giving you hints and tips, and the occasional bit of leg pulling; I've had more than a few times, when seeing a job through the eyes of those reading a thread along with their suggestions has sparked an idea to do something differently and get a better result.

Just take it a task at a time, the S2000 kit goes together beautifully, and before you know it you'll be on the road!

As Dave says we all love to see photos of a build, so good luck and enjoy...

First thing I'd suggest you do if you haven't already is go through the order/supply list and check for any missing parts.

You'll certainly get plenty of support on here

Thank you guys, lots of parts to follow already!

Why mixed feelings?  Fear/excitement??

I can understand that!

Totally agree with Dave about the way a build thread helps with the build. I'd have made more than a few stupid mistakes if it wasn't for the friendly advice that has come my way.

There's a wealth of experience on here and my first tip is to read Dave's s2000 build thread.

Just dampened the experience with quite a lot of parts missing and no dates when they will follow.

How do I do a build thread?

Unfortunatly the parts thing does happen.

Try not to let it spoil things, don't rush anything and don't skip anything due to parts missing. I once left the propshaft out til last and it was a pig to fit with the gearbox in place.

Apart from that, What Kingster996 says is true. you will feel more stupid not asking a simple question and getting it wrong than putting up your hand and saying "please Sir, where does this bit go".

As daft as it sounds I enjoy the build as much as driving them.(but thats just me)

Don't let it put you off, the parts dept sent all my missing bits up and nothing spoiled (for me anyway). As per finkangel, the build is, for me, all part of the fun, I'm loving it.

Build thread is easy, just go to "tech talk" and start a new post called something like "Glyn's s2000 Build Thread" - sorted!

If that's the case then I'm daft too :d

Hi Glyn, looking forward to following your build as we all love a good build project! As Chris aka kingster996 says, just start a thread on Tech Talk. There's a few ways to add pics and I'm sure there's a guide on the forum to explain how to. Good luck!

I've said this before and I'll say it again...

There is no such thing as a stupid question - just a stupid answer!

I didn't didn't build mine but I've rebuilt / overhauled so many parts of it now it feels "mine" and I know what makes it tick :)

Given the chance, I'd build a new one - and it'd definitely be an S2000

(but then I'm waiting to see what the new GTM's going to be like)
