Pit stop sparks..? No spoilers

If you guys are watching a recording of the F1, look at Bottas's pit stop on lap 39

When the right hand front wheel gun made contact, it seemed to strike a proper arc, sparks all over the shop.

I know there are a lot of electriks on board, but that can't be right can it..?

I saw that too, most likely a problem with the hybrid electrical system earthing out through the air gun. Definitely not right though!

Or just static discharging.

On second thoughts there won't be any as the wet track and car would not allow a build up of static.

My first thought was the same, and then the second was the same as well LOL...

It just seems very wrong.

Maybe a bit of naughtiness? Trying to use the pit equipment to give a bit of extra charge to the system?

I don't follow F1 at all, so I have no idea how it works these days.

Holy Moly... You are definitely going into the "watch this man" folder...

Even if the idea is total BS, for you even to be able to think that way makes you an evil genius...

Hope the F1 teams don't read this thread, it may give them ideas--

I thought maybe the the gun had slipped at the nut was rounding off. Seemed to stay on though so presumably less dramatic than it looked

Hmmm... Have you noticed Lyonspride never posts during a GP...

And with his thought processes being slipier than a greased weasel, I reckon he is part of one of the works teams...
