Awesome Lotus Elise Trophy Race Video

Who needs Grand Prix Racing when Club Racing offers this!

This is on board footage from Driver Jason Baker from last weekends round at Donnington.

Jason is run by our good friend Rob Boston in the Lotus Elise Trophy series. The Racing is always good but unfortunately Jason had to start from the very back of the grid after an electrical gremlin meant he didn't post a qualifying time.

The Engine in the car is a BLiNK Motorsport K series Pro-Motor and the regs allow extensive cylinder head work. The cars must run on Standard induction and not produce more than 151 HP at  the Hubs on a Dynapack Dyno.(circa 190 hp from a 1.8 on standard induction).

We map the engines back to this limit (Would be over 200bhp if allowed!!) and the aim is to get the power to 'flatline' at 151 hp for as many rpm's as possible.

Adam Gore won the Championship the same weekend and he is also run by Rob Boston Racing with a BLiNK K series Pro-Motor so it was a great weekend for us all.

Hope you enjoy the video:

It looks like the guy in the yellow car may be in need of an engine builder.

Was that the white out at 4 minutes, the lad did well there driving enthusiastically and making most look like they were going backwards, well done he should go far that young man. Of course its all in the engine.

Yup, engine seems to pull harder at mid range coming out of corners much better than the competition.  Well done Blink.
