Burma is a deeply devout country and there's loads of religious sires so if you don't see this magnificent example, there are many others dotted about the country. dombanks Posted September 29, 2014 Author Share Posted September 29, 2014 from what ive read its not quite as cheap as Thailand but then not a geared up to take as much out of tourism, we are doing 2/3 days in yangon at the beginning as we needed an address for the visa and i dont think the hotel is far from that pagoda, but then not sure where from there. i think mrauk-u and madalay. seems like overnight trains are pretty cheap for a cabin (think i read $40 somewhere) so we were thinking of using these interspersed with the odd hotel.
