As was suggested, the company has sent out a man this evening to assess and photograph the damage. He pointed out that the engineer had to work within a twenty inch space and therefore should have asked for the car to be moved or put a barrier in place. He seems to think that it should be a straight forward case amd settlement should be reached very soon. Thanks folks, it really did help to be armed with tips from those in the know.
