Hello.

I was up on the moors today and around Riveaulx abbey.

I had a look out for you chaps but could not find you.

You must have good hiding places.

I looked at your invite last night but I am right on the opposite end of the moors.

We went to the top of Sutton Bank for a bit and then had a picnic at Riveaulx abbey before heading up towards Castleton. then went to Scaling Dam, round Whitby and then oasis in Scarborough for a coffee and home.

The weather was glorious.

regarding your belly.....My nana told me to eat dry bread.

Wow sounds like a good day out! I have a route that goes Guisborough over moors road, staithes, Helmsley, then back via chop gate.. Suppose you can do that circuit start from any point..

Bread.. Will try it.. Bit dry after a bit...

if you are on the moors have you been up Rosedale Chimney.

It is britains steepest road with two really sharp hairpin bends.

It is in the village of Rosedale Abbey and its really good fun to drive up.

half way up there is a carpark with fantastic views all down the valley. Its a good place for a picnic.

Yes, its a lovely place to be. There's a cafe in the village that does great coffee.
