Tricky Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Very strange, I don't have that issue, but pages have seemed to freeze and need reloading over last couple of days? Quote
Andy Banks Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 You may have some software and/or settings that are deleting your cache and/or cookies. It's the cookies and browser settings that "remember" you were logged on. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I had that with Firefox (not set to clear on exit) but not with Chrome. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I tend to find, the first step, if you've not added any programs or changed settings anywhere, is to clear the browsers cache. (Sometimes they seem to get corrupted and cause odd behaviour). Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 ok will try that cheers chaps - bit strange across various devices though Quote
TAFKARM Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Ive had this issue for a while on my iPad, fine on laptop. Quote
TrophyJem Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I get this all the time. I log in on 3 different devices (work pc, phone & home pc). Pretty much every day one of them randomly forgets that I'm logged in. I just assumed it was too many devices logged in at once causing the problem. Quote
clansman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Was there a solution to this? As I am having to login constantly ......every time I click on a thread or go to the next page I get booted out and have to log back in grrrrrrrr. I thought at first it was the work PC/IT system having been migrated to a new system/server but I am also on another forum using the same Community Forum software and do not get kicked off there. Checking the software versions (bottom right of page) and they are different...........here it is IP Board 3.4.5 and Stdrivers.co.uk is IP Board 3.4.6! Even trying to put this reply on has kicked me off every time I clicked reply which has almost resulted in my left foot coming in contact with said computer!!!!! Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Sorry, I don't think anyone else has reported having this problem. Is it doing it for you across multiple devices? Quote
clansman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Don't think so Dave , can't check my laptop as nightshift in cabin(offshore) but strange that using the same PC and accessing another forum using the same software but newer version I have not had to repeatedly login at every click of a page as I am on WSCC...................you should have seen the hassle I had trying to post that on !!!!!!!! I am surprised the pc/screen is still in one piece LOL Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 I cleared my history on each device and all is ok now Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 IIRC, Clansman's already tried clearing his cache etc. Quote
clansman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 "IIRC, Clansman's already tried clearing his cache etc" That was on my laptop which cleared the issue then but this issue is different and on the work's PC. I've contacted a friend in the IT dept and he will have a look into the "problem" ........doing my head in .......if I had a pound for every time I have been kicked out I could start to think about a new kit from the factory, its that bad. clansman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 update ......on my laptop and all good......must be something on the works PC Quote
