Attaching photos to for sale advert

Hi

I am sure this is basic IT stuff but I am struggling to put some photos on my for sale advert. I work on a Mac. I have tried all sorts of different file formats from jpegs to tiffs etc….. could someone please be kind enough to explain which file extensions the forum will support? Very many thanks.

I presume you have the photo hosted somewhere online? If not that's the first step. For example I have mine hosted via a paid for service provided by www.fotki.com. This gives me the link below to a photo I've uploaded:

Add in front and at the end and here you go:

Hi, thanks for the advice…. nothing is stored online just on my Mac hard drive…. don't suppose you can put them anywhere online without paying for hosting??

You can host them in the gallery here I believe. Theirs of Fotki.com and Photobucket do have free accounts too. Naturally they are limited.

Club members can either host their photos in the forum galley or alternatively I use Photobucket which is a free photo hosting site. Try these two links

Picasa is another free on-line hosting service. The Boardrooms gallery is fine for simple stuff with a smallish number of pictures. But for more complicated organisation and lots of photos, it's had to beat the pukka on-line services like Picasa, Photobucket etc.
