cjdad76 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Just a punt at trying to avoid £200 for a pair from Westfield. Need 2 no. front shocks for my wide tracked SEIW to replace the leaking one's currently fitted. Need to be tidy and working ok - hoping someone out there has upgraded when there was nothing wrong with the standard one's!! Happy to pay, based in Worcester - open to offers.
Terry Everall Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 maybe give Protech a ring and see what deal they can do
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 To be fair, £200 a pair is not bad
cjdad76 Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Under normal circumstances, £200 wouldn't upset me too much. Sadly my car is currently undergoing open heart surgery for a gearbox rebuild, therefore also a clutch, front caliper refurb and a set of 4 tyres. All in all, pretty expensive month. Found the front shocks leaking when undergoing all the work so just adding to my expensive woes at the moment.
Paul Morcom Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I have a pair of aluminium AVO front shocks, single adjustable and come with 2.25" springs. Not sure what the spring rates are but they came off a SEiW with CAT widetrack. I would want £100 for the pair. I don't know if the length is the same as required by Westfield widetrack. If you are interested then measure your existing shocks I can confirm if the same.
Barry Ashcroft Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I had cat wide track and they use the standard short shocks not the long ones which the factory use that's why I've just changed all mine.
BudSlater Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I will have some SPAX adjustables with springs for sale in the next month or so if that interests you?
