Is my Westy too low for ferry to France

Guys my Westy is quite low to the ground exhaust only a couple of ins from the tarmac any of you had any issues with getting on/off a ferry.

Don't know about ferries but the Chunnel is Westfield friendly.

When I've taken low cars to France I've always been put on the lower deck with the lorries, and the loading bods have been able to assist with blocks of wood if necessary. They appreciate something different so tend to go out of their way to help. At least that's my experience.

Mines about 3inchs to the chassis, 2 to the sump before I fitted a short one, and I had not issues ever.

 

Drive diagonally over the joins if you feel you need to, and expect to be put on the lower deck with the lorries (often just in front of the central stairs in the triangle there) and I am sure it will be ok. If you can drive over speed bumps you will be fine.

I've taken mine on the Dover-Calais crossing in the past and had no problems, although the speedbumps in UK customs were higher than most and caused me to ground out the transmission hoop.
