pistonbroke Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Reacting to the news of Mayall's death this evening, Edmondson said: "There were times when Rik and I were writing together when we almost died laughing. "They were some of the most carefree stupid days I ever had, and I feel privileged to have shared them with him. "And now he's died for real. Without me. Selfish b*****d." Gave us years of laughter , escp remember his Alan B Stard character Quote
M444TTB Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Rik was fantastic. I remember Bottom being fantastically rude when I was at secondary school. My favour it has to be Lord Flashheart from Blackadder though. Quote

Tricky Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Young ones series was legendary when I was a youth, when they found oil in the cellar and Ade Edmondson smacks Rik in the family jewels with a cricket bat, to which Rik replied "HA! MISSED BOTH MY LEGS" classic! Quote

FILFAN Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Sad news indeed. I spent many nights watching bottom and young ones videos. Him and ade are probably responsible you my daft ways and sense oh humour. So long fella Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Yep, one of my comedy Hero's and favourite actors; I keep all the series of Bottom on my iPhone just in case I get a bored moment travelling, or sitting waiting for servers to reboot on some of the overnight installs I've done in the past. He'll by sadly missed by a great many friends and fans. Deepest respects to the family he left behind. Woof! Quote
