Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
It's Steve speak for "love", it's one of those local dialect expressions commonly used in some areas round here just like "mate", "fella", "duck", "chicken", "dear" etc are elsewhere. As in "what's up love" or "how you doin' my lover", it throws people from out of the area as it's used completely randomly, and regardless of whether your talking to a girl/boy/woman/man.
