Got clutch relined and installed ok with new clutch fork fulcrum from SBD ( great service) but when we drove car they diff seems to be goosed so spent the afternoon taking it out!!!!!!!

Will fit 3.92 diff in and cross fingers its that and not the gearbox and hope we are ready for Pembrey.

Bit of a frustrating time really

Good luck with the diff swap, should only take 40 minutes according to John Hoyle  :d

Took us 1.5 hrs to remove it and will probably be same to install. How the hell John does it in that time is beyond me

I think it only took me and a mate of mine just over an hour to do mine last year, so I think you're slipping Tel!

Terry obviously doesn't know which spanners to use of by heart and uses more bolts than is necessary. Practice makes perfect Terry :)

Trouble is Terry is such a tight fisted Yorkshire man so he only has one adjustable spanner to use.

Diff changed and we still seem to have a problem

When you release clutch in 1st it sounds like the back end ( diff- now changed so its not that) is going to break apart. The vibration shakes the back end until you build up to say 3000-4000rpm when it seems ok. Its a bit like axle tramp on old cars or something loose or a halfshaft but I can't see anything wrong with them. Could it just be the ceramic clutch being a bit vicious as it beds in

They are bolt on lobro joints

Steve where EXACTLY do you mean when you suggest Input shaft bearing? Do you mean the main input shaft to the gearbox from engine?

Both diffs gave same problem
