FRENCHMICK
Hi everyone. My Burton Oil Pump is showing signs of leaking, it's fitted to my xflow 1660 dry sump engine. The pump looks very similar to a Titan oil pump, can the Burton pump be resealed? it appears to be working fine, just the annoying oil stains on the drive. Does anyone have any advice how to cure the leak. I have spoken to Burton and they were not unable to help me, other than say I may be able to send it to Titan for them to have a look at it. Thanks for your help. Cheers, Mick
jimthedrummer
There is an oil seal behind the cover plate. (remove the 3 bolts), I'm sure I got one from Burton.
FRENCHMICK
My oil pump has 4 cap heads and looks exactly like a Titan oil pump except it has Burton cast in the plate. I spoke to Burton today and I don't think the guy was up to speed about the oil pump, he said they did not have any thing in stock to help me. I will have a look later this week. Thank you for your help.
