Tony wright Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 I'm new to this game and losing 1-0 at the moment. Have bought a rolling chassis sew and engine but need just about everything else. Fuel tank Steering Boss + steering wheel for sva Nicer wheels than I already have(mine are s***! Speedo and Dials Lights And the list goes on. Any help and uesful advice would be much appreciated as long as its free. Cheers Tony
stu999 Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Hi Tony, I am guessing you are trying to build on a 'sensible' budget? For the lights, try Europa, or Stafford Vehicle Components. For Wheels, see Oz Superleggara thread, or Gregh's ad in 'for sale' section. For the dials, the factory Smiths/Caerbont ones are very competitively priced, and IMO look good too. Probably best getting a factory fuel tank too, at least you know its gonna fit, and its rare one appears second hand. Have you got your Cortina uprights and Escort rear axle yet? If not I can help you with this too. Get yourself an aeroscreen, this way you dont have the hassle and cost of having to have a heater, wipers, and washers. The car will be lighter too, and go faster! What else do you need? Stu.
