craigjruss Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Do you know what make dampers are? Suspect there are spax dampers
craigjruss Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Are they def 300 rears ? Pretty sure there are 300lb springs but will double check when I finish work tonite.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 The standard basic dampers supplied by WF these days usually are Spax. Not closely enough at a set to say if those are Spax, but they do look similar at least! 300lb rears are awfully high, (with only a 300lb front as well)
Stuart Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I thought they used Gaz now? Know they did a few years ago. I think these could be Gaz ones.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Gaz and currently Protech are supplied as a first upgrade optional type damper, with Nitrons as the premium/race upgrade. Spax are still sold as the basic entry level damper. (Even on the Honda S2000 car Spax are the basic option). The current Spax aren't the same as the yellow Trax Spax from the old days.

Hence high spring poundage Cos of the aero!
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 That makes a lot more sense. Was trying to work out what the extra weight might be at the back of the car. Aero would do it, no doubt!
